Horticultural crops are one of the most common sources of weeding of non-native plant species. However, as the popularity of gardening increases, so does the range of plant species introduced into cultures. Currently, hundreds of thousands of ornamental taxa are known to be cultivated. It is for this reason that the risk of outbreak in the wild and subsequent invasion continues to increase. The project "Grow safely - do not support invasive plant species" leads to responsibility for the landscape around us and shows in practice that it is possible to implement ornamental flower beds without non-native invasive species. An example of this is the extensive perennial bed that was created in 2023 in the Open Garden of the Partnership Foundation in Brno, where invasive species or species capable of outbreak in the wild were replaced by alternatives without these characteristics (marked in bold):
