Invasive species in Inspirace magazine

The phrase "invasive non-native species" generally evokes negative emotions in people, but at the same time it prompts questions. In some people, this connection can evoke the threat that foreign species are coming into our nature, displacing native species, and something sudden and dangerous is happening here, which needs to be stopped. The gardener, on the other hand, may fear a significant limitation in his activities – a gardener or landscape architect may feel new stricter rules regulating the possibilities of planting and importing plants. But are non-native species such a threat to us? Is growing new species a bad practice? Is it right to grow these species and promote their spread or trade in them? These topics are discussed in an article from the collective of authors Kateřina Berchová Bímová, Martina Kadlecová, Martin Vojík, Josef Kutlvašr in the summer issue of INSPIRACE magazine (only in Czech).
