Educational seminars were held on March 16 in the Open Garden of the Partnership Foundation (Údolní 33, Brno) and on March 17, 2023 at the Faculty of the Environmental Sciences of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. The content of both seminars was the presentation of the British citizens' initiative Plant Alert (in English with translation in Czech), where gardeners help to protect native flora by providing information to other gardeners about non-native plants and their possible replacements. This was followed by lectures on the topic of Plant invasions from a horticultural perspective and Proposals for an approach to invasive species in crops. The educational seminars were concluded with a discussion on the topic: How to use horticultural species so that we do not threaten the wild nature.
