The British initiative Plant Alert has first results

Some ornamental plant species can spread from gardens into the open landscape and thus threaten biodiversity or cause economic damage. In the magazine Inspirace 2/2022, the project Grow safely – do not support invasive plant species was presented, the aim of which is to draw the attention of the professional horticultural public to the risks of growing invasive non-native species capable of spreading into the landscape. In Great Britain and Ireland, the Plant Alert initiative deals with this issue, and has already produced concrete results from three years.
